NEW DELHI: The commencement of the six-match white-ball series between India and Sri Lanka, the host nation, will be postponed by a single day, according to an announcement made by the cricket board on Sunday. No specific reason was provided for the delay, AFP reported.
India are set to arrive in the island nation as originally planned on July 22. However, the first T20 match will now take place on July 27, one day later than initially scheduled, as per the statement released by Sri Lanka Cricket.
Based on the updated itinerary, the second T20 match will be held on July 28, followed by the concluding match of the three-game T20 series on July 30. All three T20 matches are slated to be played at the Pallekele venue.
The ODI leg of the series will commence on August 2, with the second match taking place on August 4.
The final ODI will be played three days later, on August 7. All the ODI matches are scheduled to be held at the Premadasa Stadium located in Colombo.
