Morne Morkel provides update on Jasprit Bumrah's injury

India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah caused a brief worry on Saturday during the second day of the pink ball Test against Australia in Adelaide. He seemed to grab his adductor muscle while bowling.
Bowling coach Morne Morkel allayed fears, confirming it was only a cramp. He assured everyone that Bumrah is doing well.
Bumrah had taken eight wickets in the first match, which India won by a large margin of 295 runs. He displayed signs of discomfort during the 81st over of Australia’s innings.
The team physiotherapist attended to him briefly. Bumrah continued bowling immediately, finishing the over and bowling three more later on.
“Firstly, with Bumrah, he’s fine; it was just this cramp. Yeah, even because after that, you know, he bowled and you got the wickets twice,” Morkel said at the post-match press conference.
The star bowler finished with figures of 4 for 61. He helped India dismiss Australia for 337 runs.
Bumrah’s victims included opener Nathan McSweeney, who scored 39 runs. He also dismissed Steve Smith for 2, Pat Cummins for 12, and Usman Khawaja for 13. Bumrah had already dismissed Khawaja on Friday.
