Watch: Marcus Stoinis fan drives 14 hours to meet him in Dallas | Cricket News

Australia allrounder Marcus Stoinis, who is part of the Texas Super Kings (TSK) squad at the ongoing season of Major League Cricket (MLC) in the US, had a special visitor waiting for him after TSK’s match against the Seattle Orcas in Dallas earlier this week.
Hailing from Afghanistan and settled in the US, the female fan, who wasn’t named in the video shared by TSK on social media, drove 14 hours all the way from Colorado Springs to Dallas only to have a glimpse of her favourite cricketer.
Luck was more than on her side as she not only saw Stoinis play on the field but also got to meet him after the match.

“I am from Afghanistan…I always talked about him (Stoinis) with my school friends,” she says in the video during a short interview in the stands by MINY’s social media team.
She came to the stadium with a poster specially put together for his favourite player, as she shouted “Stoinis” from the stands while holding it.
“I thought this (MLC) is going to be a big opportunity to come and see him, cheer for him. That was like one of my dreams, which has come true…I had to drive for 14 hours from Colorado Springs…to just come and see him,” she said.
When asked how she is going to react if she gets to meet Stoinis in person, she said: “I have no idea what I am going to do, maybe I will start crying or something.”
The video was appropriately captioned: “The Yellove is unmatched”.
