Fast bowler Vysakh Vijaykumar has been included in Karnataka’s 15-player squad for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The tournament will take place in Indore from November 23rd to December 5th.
Vysakh recently missed two rounds of the Ranji Trophy due to his selection for the Indian T20I team, currently playing a four-match series in South Africa.
Mayank Agarwal has been chosen to lead the Karnataka team, which includes experienced batsman Manish Pandey and India’s middle-order batsman Devdutt Padikkal.
Karnataka has been placed in Group B for the tournament. They will face Uttarakhand in their opening match, followed by matches against Tripura, Saurashtra, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Baroda, and Gujarat.
Yere Goud, the head coach, and Mansur Ali Khan, the bowling coach, will continue to guide the team’s support staff.
The Karnataka squad consists of Mayank Agarwal (Captain), Manish Pandey (Vice-captain), Devdutt Padikkal, Abhinav Manohar, Shreyas Gopal, R Smaran, KL Shrijith (Wicketkeeper), Vysakh Vijaykumar, MacNeil H Noronha, Vasuki Koushik, Manoj Bhandage, Vidyadhar Patil, LR Chethan (Wicketkeeper), Shubhang Hegde, and L Manvanth Kumar.
